WWF UK Forest & Trade NetworkSince 1995, Office Depot has been an active member of this joint venture between the global charity and UK companies committed to reducing their impact on the world's forests. The group supports certification and raw material source tracking, with independent environmental consultants monitoring the timber and wood fibre materials that we use.
In 2006 Office Depot obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification for stationery and furniture products. The FSC Trademark indicates that the product has an unbroken chain of custody to an FSC certified well-managed forest source. FSC is the only 'eco-label' that is endorsed by the major environment charities including WWF, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and the Woodland Trust.
As a principal sponsor of London Remade, Office Depot has been working to raise awareness of sustainable office products since 2003, developing best practice and helping customers make environmentally informed purchasing decisions.
