I began my working life in 1997 when, straight from A levels, I joined KPMG where I qualified for my AAT specialising in Management Accounts Preparation and Auditing. I moved on to Office Depot’s Management Accounts team in 2002, and after two years took the plunge into the more actively commercial pool of the Merchandising Department. I’ve successively worked my way up as Merchandising Assistant, Product Manager, and finally Merchandising Manager in charge of Furniture and Facilities. My personal highlight so far came last year, when I was lucky enough to be given the chance to present to the B.O.S.S. Federation. To my great delight (and no small surprise), I was awarded the “Young Professional of the Year” award. It’s given me a great incentive and I’m determined to do my best to justify it.
