Andy joined Office Depot in 2000 as the head of the UK eBusiness team for the Direct Mail channel. After several years of driving a fast growth rate in the UK business and building a brand new team to support it, he moved to a strategic/functional role in the European team in Venlo and worked across both Direct Mail and Contract eBusiness activities. His focuses during this time were the integration of Guilbert and Office Depot eBusiness through the summer of 2003, a major pan-European website redesign for the Direct Mail channel in 2004, and the launch of pan-European website and email marketing activities.
In 2006 Andy became the Director for European Merchandising Operations, bringing together a number of separate operational teams under a single leadership and driving improved processes, resource efficiency and operational effectiveness. Andy led the project to create the first Green Book for the Office Depot Contract business across Europe in 2006. He also led the reorganisation of merchandising across Europe in 2007, and was the project sponsor for the RMS project in 2006-8 - the first major systems implementation for European Merchandising under Project Simplify.
Andy is married with two children and lives near Leicester. Having spent 2007 living in Germany with his family, he is enjoying catching up with old friends and family, and re-discovering British pubs. His hobbies are cycling, reading sci-fi and pets (oh, and entertaining two small children).
